Rightening Fast Upedate!
Okay, not exactly...

Dad called and thanked me for his present. He didn't get the monkey-butler reference. Good for him ^_^;;

It's still hot.

I managed to give myself an almighty thump to the head over the weekend (I can't remember exactly which day). Didn't hurt, but the side of my face went numb for a few hours. I might have jostled my neck, because it did the same last night and the night before. Ah well, I see the chiropractor in a couple of weeks, so let's se how it goes between now and then.

I got pants. Yay me.

Jemi's birthday coming up. Yay! Happi Birthday Jemi (k, still a few days to go, but... meh ^_^;;)

Ri-Chan's been playing Xenosaga. I've been alowd to watch. I enjoy it muchly - it's a real spectator game ^_^;; Well, it's full of cutscene in any case. I like it. And the english voice of chaos is the guy who did the dub of Ken from Digimon 02, which is seriously trippy ^_^!!!!!!!

Wakka wakka wakka...

Which reminds me, I'm supposed to be thinking of a themesong for Tahir. I've been trying to find a sample of 'Follow Me home' so I can get an ida about it, although it's probably... okay, I'm almost certain it's not right for Tahir. I wish we'd taped the ... seccodn to last episode of 'Who'se Line Is It Anyway?', because they did a song about a gang in a Musical called The Goats. It would have been amusing to submit that one as Azaz's theme. Anyway... at the moment, the top two on the 'list of possible songs for Tahir' are 'While you see a chance' and 'True faith'. Neither of them are extremely apropriate, but it's not as easy as all that. maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places, but he doens't fit most of the music I own. And he's not depressive enough for me to just pull anything not extoling how wonderful it is to be in love. But True faith could work lyrically, although it's not great... musically, I'm still uncertain. I'd need to be able to listen to it again. Tell ya what, I'll put the lyrics at the end of this post. I also quote it in one of my away messages, so people who im me may recognise bits...

On the same subject, Ri-chan informed me that Jemi had confused Tahir and Orban, so I decided I'd submit a joke entry for Orban :P At the moment, it's 'Ninja of the Night' (although the ship song from Monkey Island is right up there). I went through my lyrics collection (almost 400 pages of lyrics) in the start of my search - and discovered I have very little aproriate lyricality in there. But I stumbled across the lyrics to 'Big Boss Groove' which, if I didn't think the other players would hate it and attempt to skewer me on their pencils, I'd suggest as a... well, group hope theme?. It's sort of got... not quite a big band feel, but not quite a gospel feel to it... I'll put the lyrics undernieth True Faith as well. But you get no quote :P

Anyway, I gotta go in for dinner. Seeya.

True Faith - New Order

I feel so extraordinary
Something's got a hold on me
I get this feeling I'm in motion
A sudden sense of liberty
I don't care 'cause I'm not there
And I don't care if I'm here tomorrow
Again and again I've taken too much
Of the things that cost you too much
I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun
My morning sun is the drug that brings me near
To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear
I used to think that the day would never come
That my life would depend on the morning sun...

When I was a very small boy,
Very small boys talked to me
Now that we've grown up together
They're afraid of what they see
That's the price that we all pay
And the value of destiny comes to nothing
I can't tell you where we're going
I guess there was just no way of knowing

I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun
My morning sun is the drug that brings me near
To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear
I used to think that the day would never come
That my life would depend on the morning sun...

I feel so extraordinary
Something's got a hold on me
I get this feeling I'm in motion
A sudden sense of liberty
The chances are we've gone too far
You took my time and you took my money
Now I fear you've left me standing
In a world that's so demanding

I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun
My morning sun is the drug that brings me near
To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear
I used to think that the day would never come
That my life would depend on the morning sun...

Big Boss Groove - The Style Council

Hold on is what they say
To get any back to you will have to pay
Don't shout or get upset
It's the same message from the holy Tory government
Don't rock the sinking ship
And don't fly in the face of it
Work for your heaven's way
It's the same bullshit from the pulpit and the president

Hear keys getting in my way
It drives me crazy when I hear them say
"Let us pray" 'cause I want my heaven here on earth

Get up is what we say
Don't wait for judgement day
There's too much going on
You might think you're weak
But together we can be so strong

This world is no man's land
Our lives are in our hands
Our will is our command
You put it together and together we can make a stand

Our faith is the key to it
The unifying for some reason to be
You will see if you stand outside
The big boss groove

Get on up!

Our faith is the key to it
The unifying for some reason to be
You will see if you stand outside
The big boss groove

Get up is what we say
And don't wait for judgement day
There's too much going on
You may think you're weak
But together we can be so strong

This world is no man's land
Our lives are in our hands
Our will is our command
You put it together and together we can make a stand

In our hands, our command, and together we can make a stand!
Yeah!
